Europe: Federal or Confederal Future?

EFA representatives will participate in the ‘Europe: Federal or Confederal Future?’ round table, which will take place in Bilbao, Basque Country, on 20 July. The aim is to foster the debate around the current European model and its future, as well as to give a response to the current COVID unprecedented times, reassessing the actual decision-making frameworks.

EFA Secretary General Jordi Solé and MEP Pernando Barrena, together with others, will be discussing the possibilities to broad the current State-Nation approach for the construction of the future of Europe. A suitable model adapted to the diverse territorial realities to reinforce the political capacity of stateless nations, according to the subsidiarity and ‘no taxation without representation’ principles.

The event is organised by Coppieters Foundation, Eusko Ikaskuntza, EhuGune and Ezkerraberri.
