RePS 27th Summer University will be held this week in Savoy

The event titled “Global warming, food and energy crisis: facing the challenges, democratically anticipating transitions in the territories” will count on the participation of EFA President, Lorena López de Lacalle, and EFA MEP, François Alfonsi

Régions et Peuples Solidaires 27^th Summer University will be celebrated in Aix-les-Bains (Savoy) next Friday and Saturday. This year, the event will be titled “Global warming, food and energy crisis: facing the challenges, democratically anticipating transitions in the territories”, and will focus on the transformations and solutions that Europe has to develop and pursue to overcome climate change and its consequences. Our President, Lorena López de Lacalle, and our MEP, François Alfonsi, will visit the event as panelists of the different interesting conferences programmed.

Alfonsi MEP will intervene on Friday morning, in the conference about vital resources, and will talk about “the energetic and alimentary autonomy in the EU: challenges and potential solutions”. President Lorena López de Lacalle’s speech will be on Saturday morning and will focus “regionalisms in the European context”. Also, other EFA member parties delegates, such as Chantal Certain (Alliance Valdôtaine) or Jean-Félix Acquaviva (Femu à Corsica MP), will be present at the event. EFAY will also be represented in the Summer University by its Vice-Presidents Lisandru Bizzari (PNC Ghjuventú), and Maxence Helfrisch (Unser Land).

Régions et Peuples Solidaires (RePS) is a federation of political parties that represent the interests of regionalist and autonomist movements in the French state. This platform, in which most of EFA’s member parties in the French state take part, achieved great success in the last legislative elections, with 4 MPs elected (3 Corsican and 1 Breton). This Summer University is held in Savoy and hosted by one of EFA’s member parties, Mouvement Région Savoie.
